Becky Sauerbrunn has been called up to the USWNT’s Gold Cup roster, replacing defender Alana Cook.

The team announced Sauerbrunn’s addition on Tuesday, noting that Cook has been ruled out of camp due to a “minor knee injury” that she suffered during preseason training with Seattle Reign FC.

Sauerbrunn is the most experienced player on the roster, having made 217 appearances with the USWNT. The W Gold Cup will mark her 15th year appearing for the USWNT. She missed last year’s World Cup with a foot injury, but returned in October for friendlies against Colombia. #women
